• • As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend on the Institutional - Staking team at Coinbase, you will be at the forefront of building and maintaining the critical infrastructure that underpins the future of the global financial system. This role is pivotal in enabling institutional clients to safely and efficiently manage billions of dollars in staked digital assets across a multitude of blockchain networks.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deploy new services using Golang, directly addressing key product and business requirements. You will be instrumental in creating scalable systems that tackle complex, novel challenges inherent in the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency landscape, leveraging modern cloud technologies and adhering to industry best practices.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves articulating and driving a long-term technical vision for the backend systems. This includes not only ensuring their continued scalability and reliability but also fostering the growth and development of the engineering teams responsible for their operation.

• • The Institutional Staking team plays a crucial role in the broader Custody experience by enabling clients to earn yield on their digital assets. Beyond client benefits, your work will directly contribute to the security and decentralization of underlying blockchain networks. By unlocking billions of dollars worth of assets for staking, you will increase the cost of potential 51% attacks and promote greater diversity among network validators, thereby enhancing the integrity of the entire ecosystem.
