• • As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend - Platform at Coinbase, you will be at the forefront of building and scaling the financial infrastructure that powers the global economic system. You will join the FinHub - Transfers team, the critical nerve center responsible for all crypto and fiat fund movements within Coinbase. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to one of the most scalable and distributed financial systems in the world, working on highly visible projects with a direct and measurable impact across various product groups including Retail, Prime, Exchange, International Crypto, and Payments.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and maintainable backend systems and components. This involves making critical architectural decisions and trade-offs to ensure both system stability and long-term viability. You will be instrumental in crafting product-facing features that meet stringent correctness and scalability requirements, ensuring the seamless and secure movement of funds for millions of customers.

You will work closely with frontend engineers and data teams to refine and optimize our REST APIs, ensuring they can handle massive transaction volumes and evolving user needs.
