Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own and continuously evolve vivenu’s Checkout Platform, the revenue-critical system that processes millions of ticket purchases for Grammy Awards, Golden Globes, Stanford University, Hockenheimring, and other global brands. You will architect, build, and refine every layer—from pixel-perfect React components to resilient Node.js services and finely tuned PostgreSQL schemas—ensuring that buying a ticket feels effortless on any device, anywhere in the world.
- • Design end-to-end checkout experiences that convert browsers into buyers. You will run A/B tests, analyze funnel metrics, and iterate on UI/UX patterns that reduce friction, increase accessibility, and delight fans. Your work directly influences conversion rates, average order value, and customer satisfaction for events ranging from 500-seat theaters to 100,000-person festivals.
- • Implement and maintain bulletproof APIs, authentication flows, and validation logic that protect sensitive payment data and guarantee transactional integrity at scale. With over 1 billion requests per month and 10 million end users, you will apply rigorous security standards (PCI-DSS, GDPR) and caching strategies to keep latency under 200 ms globally.
- • Build and optimize backend services for seat reservations, dynamic pricing, inventory locking, and order lifecycle management. You will model complex relational data, craft efficient queries, and introduce event-driven patterns that let organizers launch on-sales in seconds without risking oversell.
- • Collaborate daily with DevOps and Infrastructure squads to embed observability, auto-scaling, and fault-tolerance into checkout systems. You will define SLIs/SLOs, set up distributed tracing, and lead incident post-mortems that turn outages into learning opportunities.
- • Participate in architecture and design reviews, taking ownership from whiteboard sketch to production release. You will mentor mid-level engineers, champion engineering best practices, and push the boundaries of what a ticketing checkout can be—whether that means one-click Apple Pay flows, localized payment methods in 40+ currencies, or NFT-based tickets.
- • Balance thoroughness with pragmatism under tight deadlines. When the next superstar announces a surprise tour, you will ensure the platform scales gracefully, keeps fans happy, and keeps revenue flowing.
- • Stay curious and proactive. You will experiment with emerging technologies—WebAssembly at the edge, real-time fraud detection, or AI-driven personalization—and challenge the status quo to keep vivenu years ahead of legacy ticketing giants.
