- • Collaborate with Speechify’s Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across platforms using the cross-platform SDK.
- • Design and implement more efficient abstractions and algorithms to optimize existing functionality, including faster loading times and more intelligent parsing of content.
- • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and background jobs using Kotlin.
- • Work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s core user experience across all platforms.
- • Translate product goals into technical solutions that enhance accessibility and usability for millions of users, including those with learning differences such as dyslexia, ADD, low vision, concussions, and autism.
- • Prioritize simplicity and reliability in system design, ensuring APIs and services are clear, maintainable, and scalable.
- • Balance speed and focus in a high-growth startup environment, knowing when to engage collaboratively and when to work independently to deliver results.
- • Partner with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers to inspire, negotiate, and align on technical execution while respecting diverse perspectives.
- • Contribute to an asynchronous, remote-first culture that values autonomy, intuition, and hands-off management to enable deep, focused work.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proficiency in Kotlin, with experience in Kotlin Multiplatform preferred
- • Experience building and maintaining cross-platform SDKs and foundational services
