- • Senior Software Engineer on the Core Experiences Team at Speechify, building foundational services and SDKs that power the product experience across platforms, directly enhancing how users listen to and interact with information.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product teams to scope and deliver cross-platform SDK solutions, optimizing functionality for faster loading and intelligent parsing through efficient abstractions and improved algorithms, and shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
- • Speechify is a fast-growing startup revolutionizing audio information consumption, ranked #1 in its category with exponential growth, committed to making learning easier and more accessible for millions, including people with learning differences.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Kotlin Multiplatform and cloud-native backend systems, influence product infrastructure at scale, and gain experience balancing speed, simplicity, and collaboration in a high-growth, remote-first environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong systems thinking with end-to-end design mindset and belief in simplicity
- • Ability to work quickly, generate ideas, and decide what to ship now vs. later
- • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but Kotlin preferred)
- • Prior experience with GCP is a plus
- • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with designers, marketers, and product managers
