- • Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences at Speechify Inc. in Kochi, India, responsible for building and maintaining foundational services and SDKs that power the product experience across platforms, directly enhancing user experience through reliable APIs and efficient systems.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with Product Teams to scope projects and reduce scope for faster customer feedback, optimizing existing functionality for faster loading and intelligent parsing via efficient abstractions and improved algorithms, and shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
- • The Core Experiences Team builds critical infrastructure that supports Speechify’s mission to make listening to the world’s information easy, with the company being #1 in its category and experiencing exponential growth in the audio information space.
- • This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of product and infrastructure, think strategically, design clear APIs, and directly impact millions of users — including those with learning differences like dyslexia, ADD, low vision, and autism — while growing expertise in Kotlin Multiplatform, GCP, and scalable system design in a fast-moving, innovative environment.
