📋 Description

• Senior Software Engineer role focused on building products that help creators grow their audience and monetize their work at scale through Kit’s email-first operating system.
• You will work on the Network Squad, owning Creator Growth via recommendation products and Creator Monetization via Newsletter Sponsorships and Commerce platforms, where network effects drive value as more creators participate.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include full-stack development across React frontends, Rails backend, and ClickHouse analytics, collaborating with Product and Design to break down features into iterative deliverables, and contributing to code reviews, refactoring, and on-call rotations.
• You will join a remote-first, mission-driven team committed to helping creators earn $1 billion using the platform, with access to mentorship, onboarding buddies, and cross-functional support.
• This role offers the opportunity to learn and apply AI-assisted development tools, improve system reliability, present knowledge-sharing sessions, and directly impact thousands of creators’ ability to grow and earn.
• You will help shape product outcomes by balancing technical excellence with user needs, driving clarity across teams, and evolving the codebase through thoughtful migrations and modernization.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience developing rich, performant web applications using React, JavaScript, and modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind
• Proficiency with Ruby on Rails (preferred) or other backend frameworks, with ability to work across the full stack
• Ability to scope ambitious designs into incremental releases, identify MVPs, and ship value iteratively
• Proficiency using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) to accelerate development and improve code quality
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for aligning Engineering, Product, and Design
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested, maintainable, and accessible code with minimal guidance
