Senior Software Engineer (Data)

📋 Description

• • Design, build, and scale data infrastructure on AWS and Snowflake to enable fast, reliable, and cost-efficient analytics across the organization.
• • Develop new tooling and automation to empower product teams with self-service data capabilities and improve analytical efficiency.
• • Onboard new data sources into the platform, ensuring seamless ingestion, transformation, and monitoring of data pipelines.
• • Maintain and enhance the robustness of data pipelines through automated testing, alerting, and monitoring systems aligned with Lendable’s growth trajectory.
• • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to manage cloud resources consistently, securely, and at scale.
• • Optimize CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitHub Actions, to reduce deployment cycle times and increase deployment reliability.
• • Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• • Ensure data platform compliance, security, and governance by applying cloud security best practices and data protection standards.
• • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents in data systems to minimize downtime and maintain high user satisfaction.
• • Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance data observability, lineage, and quality across all data assets.
• • Support the evolution of Lendable’s data platform to handle increasing data volumes and complexity as the company expands into the US market.
• • Contribute to the design and deployment of containerized data services and pipeline components in cloud-native environments.
• • Maintain and improve data ingestion workflows, including integrations with tools such as Fivetran.
• • Participate in peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and documentation to uphold high engineering standards across the data team.
• • Proactively identify bottlenecks in data workflows and implement improvements that reduce costs and increase platform efficiency.
• • Ensure all data infrastructure adheres to regulatory and audit requirements for financial services in the UK and US markets.
• • Advocate for best practices in data engineering, including version control, modularity, and reusable components.
