- • Build and ship production-quality implementations of data normalization, schema mapping, validation, enrichment, and distribution pipelines for a new intelligent data warehouse serving private markets
- • Write clean, well-tested, and performant code across backend services, data pipeline logic, and API integrations
- • Take end-to-end ownership of features from design through deployment, with accountability for correctness and reliability in production
- • Work closely with Staff engineers to shape the architecture of a modern, AI-native data warehouse for institutional financial clients
- • Contribute thoughtful input on schema design, normalization approaches, and API patterns, and execute those decisions with precision
- • Identify and raise technical risks early; propose and implement solutions proactively rather than waiting to be directed
- • Use agentic coding tools and LLM-assisted development as your primary workflow, critically evaluating AI-generated code for correctness, edge cases, and regressions
- • Ship high-quality output regardless of whether code was generated by AI or written manually, maintaining strict standards for reliability
- • Build and maintain data validation checks, monitoring, and observability tooling to ensure pipeline trustworthiness at scale
- • Participate in on-call and production support to diagnose and resolve data quality issues quickly and thoroughly
- • Write and maintain clear technical documentation for systems you build, ensuring clarity for engineering and product teams
- • Apply production experience with LLMs in real systems, including prompt design, model integration, and output validation
- • Leverage AWS data infrastructure in pipeline development; utilize Redshift where applicable
- • Contribute to evolving team practices around AI-accelerated development and testing
- • Collaborate across distributed teams in 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England using digital-first hybrid workflows
- • Operate in a culture that values transparency, open debate, deep collaboration, and diverse perspectives to solve complex problems in private markets
- • Engage in a greenfield initiative to redefine how financial data is ingested, normalized, validated, enriched, and distributed across a complex ecosystem
- • Work on a small, high-caliber team focused on foundational systems that will scale with Juniper Square’s $300B+ under administration and 700,000+ LPs on platform
🎯 Requirements
- • 4–7 years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems end-to-end
- • Strong backend engineering fundamentals in backend services, data pipelines, and API design
- • Hands-on experience with data pipeline or data warehouse engineering: ETL/ELT patterns, schema design, normalization, and data distribution
- • Production experience building with LLMs, including prompt design, model integration, and output validation in real systems
- • Fluency with AI-assisted and agentic development workflows, using these tools daily and critically evaluating their output
- • Experience with AWS data infrastructure; Redshift experience a plus
