đź“‹ Description
- • Join ABODO Inc., a profitable, growth-stage company revolutionizing the rentals industry with cutting-edge martech and data products. While initially known for operating one of the U.S.'s largest rental marketplaces, Rentable, our strategic focus has pivoted to our category-leading AI and data SaaS products, which are experiencing triple-digit growth rates. We are a fully remote team of over 100 professionals spread across the U.S., united by a "no a**holes" policy and a culture of high performance where we take our work seriously, but not ourselves. Having secured over $30 million in funding from top-tier investors, we maintain profitability and a strong financial position, demonstrating our ability to achieve rapid growth without excessive capital expenditure. If you are seeking an opportunity to contribute to an industry-transforming company alongside colleagues you genuinely enjoy, ABODO Inc. could be an excellent match.
- • As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Data Infrastructure, you will be instrumental in driving the evolution of our shared data platform, which serves as the foundational infrastructure for all three ApartmentIQ products. This pivotal role involves being a key architect of our data capabilities, directly shaping our product roadmap by enhancing data coverage, improving data freshness, and enabling deeper, more actionable insights for the multifamily industry. You will be responsible for the technical execution of data initiatives, ensuring they are tightly aligned with overarching business objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in translating product goals into high-performance data outcomes, guaranteeing that every project delivers tangible and measurable value to our customers and the business.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of critical data infrastructure tasks. You will own the end-to-end delivery of data essential for our Market Research, Market Surveys, and Daylight Revenue products, meticulously aligning technical priorities with specific product goals. A significant part of your role will involve scaling our data ingestion capabilities; you will design, develop, and evolve our ingestion pipelines, processing vast amounts of data—exceeding 10 million multifamily units—through various methods including XML/JSON feeds, sophisticated web scraping techniques, robust warehouse transformations, and efficient API exposure. You will be the arbiter of data quality, defining precise standards for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for our datasets, ensuring all requirements are met to satisfy the unique needs of each product line.
- • Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your success. You will work closely with Product Managers and Application Engineers to ensure that new datasets not only support existing features but also unlock novel, measurable features and provide actionable customer insights. Operational excellence is paramount; you will build strong observability into our data systems, implementing comprehensive daily monitoring, advanced anomaly detection, and automated alerting mechanisms to proactively maintain the health and reliability of our data ingestion processes. You will manage the execution of our data roadmap, leading the delivery of key data milestones by defining clear goals, diligently tracking progress using tools like Linear, and effectively communicating outcomes and status updates to all relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, you will champion the adoption of emerging tools and technologies within the data and AI landscape, helping the team enhance efficiency and integrate new solutions where they offer significant value. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you will maintain clear, comprehensive documentation and actively mentor other team members on data best practices and engineering standards.
