📋 Description

• Join the Wüest Dimensions Product Team in the heart of Lisbon and become the driving force behind the next generation of real-estate decision-making software. You will sit shoulder-to-shoulder with 25 bright colleagues in our Avenidas Novas office, collaborating daily with product owners, UX designers, data scientists and fellow engineers in Zurich to evolve an enterprise platform that thousands of valuators, asset managers and financial institutions rely on every day.
• Own the full lifecycle of new features for fund business planning—from white-board sketches with business partners to production deployments that move millions in assets. You will translate complex regulatory and financial requirements into clean, test-driven Java 21 code, architect RESTful micro-services that scale horizontally, and craft responsive React/Angular frontends that turn dense market data into intuitive dashboards.
• Champion quality and performance. Write unit and integration tests with JUnit & Mockito until coverage gives you confidence to release on Friday afternoon. Profile slow queries, refactor bottlenecks, and tune PostgreSQL schemas so that portfolio simulations finish before the coffee gets cold. Introduce CI/CD improvements that shrink lead time from days to minutes.
• Mentor and be mentored. Pair-program with junior developers, conduct crisp code reviews, and run brown-bag sessions on Spring Boot tricks or React hooks. At the same time, absorb domain knowledge from seasoned real-estate analysts who will teach you how cap rates, DCF models and stress tests really work.
• Bridge continents and cultures. Speak daily with stakeholders in Zurich, translating Swiss-German business jargon into user stories the Lisbon squad can deliver. Your empathy and clear written English will keep requirements unambiguous and releases predictable.
• Innovate within constraints. Whether it is integrating a new third-party valuation API, migrating a legacy monolith to micro-services, or adding machine-learning forecasts to rental-price trends, you will balance technical ambition with pragmatic delivery timelines.
• Guard the production castle. Participate in an on-call rotation that is humane (one week every two months) and sharpen our runbooks, alerts and dashboards so that incidents become learning opportunities instead of fire-drills.
• Grow with us. The real-estate market is evolving fast—ESG metrics, green financing, AI-driven risk models—and your curiosity will shape which technologies we adopt next. Bring your ideas for Kotlin, serverless or event streaming and we will carve out time for spikes and proofs of concept.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building enterprise-grade software with Java (preferably Java 17 or later) and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Proven ability to design and consume RESTful APIs, write automated tests (JUnit, Mockito, integration tests) and deliver features through a CI/CD pipeline (GitLab/GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) including schema design, query optimization and transaction handling.
• Comfortable working in an agile, cross-functional team; excellent English communication skills for daily collaboration with stakeholders in Switzerland.
• Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with React or Angular, exposure to the real-estate or financial domain, and fluency in Portuguese or German.
