- • Join the Global Automation team at Margo Group and become the technical backbone of a platform that empowers commercial and operations departments across the globe to make faster, data-driven portfolio decisions. You will architect, build, and scale Python-centric solutions that unify internal systems, expose clean RESTful APIs, and deliver real-time insights through intuitive Angular dashboards.
- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of high-impact modules—from gathering requirements with business stakeholders, through writing elegant, test-driven Python code, to deploying containerized microservices on Linux servers. Your designs will directly influence how traders, risk managers, and client-service teams interact with data, shaving hours off daily workflows and unlocking new revenue opportunities.
- • Drive technical direction by evaluating emerging frameworks, selecting the right tool for each job, and documenting architectural decisions that the wider engineering community can trust. You will balance short-term delivery pressure with long-term scalability, ensuring every line of code can handle tomorrow’s data volumes and regulatory demands.
- • Champion code quality and engineering excellence. Conduct rigorous peer reviews, enforce Git workflows, and embed automated testing (unit, integration, contract) so that releases are boringly reliable. Your pull-request comments will become mini-masterclasses that level-up the entire squad.
- • Mentor mid-level and junior developers through pair-programming sessions, brown-bag lunches, and structured career-path conversations. By turning complex Python concepts—asyncio, metaclasses, dependency injection—into relatable stories, you will multiply the team’s productivity and reduce bus-factor risk.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional squads in Warsaw and remote hubs to integrate data pipelines, ETL jobs, and alerting stacks (Prometheus) into a cohesive ecosystem. You will translate fuzzy business questions into crisp technical tasks, ensuring every API endpoint, every UI widget, and every data model serves a measurable KPI.
- • Optimize for security and performance. Harden endpoints against OWASP threats, tune SQLAlchemy queries to sub-millisecond latency, and design graceful degradation strategies so that client-facing services stay resilient during market spikes.
- • Contribute to the product roadmap by distilling user feedback, production metrics, and competitive analysis into actionable epics. Your voice in sprint planning will shape not just what we build next quarter, but how the entire organization thinks about automation.
- • Experiment fearlessly. Whether it’s prototyping a machine-learning model to predict portfolio churn or spinning up a Dockerized proof-of-concept in a new language, you will have runway to innovate—and the responsibility to prove ROI before full-scale rollout.
- • Represent Margo Group at meetups, conferences, and open-source communities. Share our journey of transforming a legacy-heavy finance stack into a cloud-native, event-driven architecture, and attract top-tier talent who want to solve similar challenges.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional Python development, including deep expertise in Django, Flask, or FastAPI and a solid grasp of asynchronous programming patterns
- • Proven experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures that operate at scale, with clear documentation and versioning strategies
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field—or demonstrable equivalent experience backed by a strong portfolio
- • Advanced proficiency in Git workflows, code-review practices, and test-driven development using pytest or similar frameworks
- • Hands-on front-end skills with Angular (or React/Vue with a willingness to upskill) to ensure seamless full-stack delivery
- • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, set technical direction, and make pragmatic architecture decisions under tight deadlines
