Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the technical roadmap for customer purchase, upgrade, and billing experiences that touch 100,000+ users and millions in annual recurring revenue. You will architect, build, and ship high-impact features end-to-end—from React-based front-end flows to resilient PHP/Node services—ensuring every line of code moves core business metrics.
- • Run rigorous A/B and multivariate experiments on pricing pages, checkout funnels, and in-product upgrade prompts. You’ll instrument events, analyze conversion data, and iterate quickly so that statistically significant wins reach production within days, not weeks.
- • Design and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices that power subscription management, entitlements, and billing events. You’ll balance backward compatibility with forward-looking architecture, migrating legacy PHP monoliths toward modern cloud-native services on AWS.
- • Champion performance and reliability by building load-testing harnesses, monitoring SLIs/SLOs, and tuning autoscaling policies. When traffic spikes during product launches or marketing campaigns, your systems will stay fast, stable, and cost-efficient.
- • Collaborate daily with Product, Design, Data Science, Finance, and Marketing to translate growth hypotheses into technical specs. You’ll present experiment results to executives, influence quarterly OKRs, and ensure engineering effort is laser-focused on revenue impact.
- • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through pair programming, architecture reviews, and career coaching. You’ll raise the bar for code quality, testing discipline, and agile practices across the entire Growth organization.
- • Own the full DevOps lifecycle: write Terraform, build GitLab CI/CD pipelines, deploy to Kubernetes, and rotate on-call to keep critical billing and subscription services running 24/7. You’ll conduct post-incident reviews and turn outages into durable improvements.
- • Continuously modernize the stack—introduce feature flags, progressive rollouts, and automated canary analysis—so the team can ship faster with confidence. You’ll evaluate new tools (e.g., Playwright for E2E testing, Datadog RUM for real-user monitoring) and drive adoption.
- • Influence company-wide technical standards by authoring RFCs, contributing to shared libraries, and participating in guilds. Your decisions will shape how dozens of teams build, test, and operate services at ActiveCampaign for years to come.
- • Stay close to customers by joining sales calls, reading NPS feedback, and shadowing support tickets. Empathy for user pain points will guide prioritization and ensure every optimization improves the real-world experience of marketers and agencies who rely on our platform.
