Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end development of self-serve platform tooling that automates repetitive marketing workflows, reducing ticket burden by converting manual requests into reusable systems.
- • Build and enhance AI-augmented workflows including MCP servers, AI content writing tools, and agentic systems with strong guardrails that enable marketers to produce landing pages, content, and sales assets without engineering intervention.
- • Partner directly with Product Marketing, Paid Ads, Brand, Content, Lifecycle, Communications, Events, and Sales teams to identify high-leverage workflows, observe pain points, and translate them into scalable platform features.
- • Design and ship platform capabilities that integrate with Ramp’s Next.js frontend, Sanity CMS, and in-house A/B experimentation tools to enable rapid campaign deployment and content iteration.
- • Develop the next phase of Kirby Prototyper and Sanity MCP to allow marketers to go from idea to production-ready landing page in minutes through AI-assisted design and content generation.
- • Expand programmatic advertising infrastructure to automate Meta and Google ad creation and optimization, integrating with internal systems to reduce manual campaign management.
- • Improve experimentation tooling to enable self-improving A/B tests that learn from outcomes and auto-adjust variants without engineering input.
- • Drive product direction for the agent layer by being opinionated about AI workflows, prioritizing compound leverage over isolated feature development.
- • Maintain high velocity and quality standards on ramp.com, which drives over half of Ramp’s inbound SQLs, ensuring brand consistency and production funnel integrity.
- • Reduce dependency on engineering by building systems where marketing teams can autonomously ship work—success is measured by the percentage of requests that no longer require engineer involvement.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers and product managers to ensure tooling aligns with brand guidelines, user experience standards, and marketing objectives.
- • Iterate on internal applications used by 9+ marketing teams, continuously refining tooling for usability, speed, and scalability.
- • Contribute to the roadmap for AI-driven content workflows, programmatic sales asset creation, and SEO/AEO infrastructure that positions Ramp in AI search results.
- • Set the bar for engineering excellence in a small, high-stakes team where platform quality directly impacts customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- • Ship products without supervision, anticipate next problems before they’re assigned, and operate effectively in fast-moving environments where processes are still being defined.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of product engineering experience, ideally at a high-growth tech company, with significant time spent on user-facing or platform-tooling work
- • Demonstrated track record of building internal tools or platforms that materially reduced repetitive workflows for non-engineers
- • Strong product instincts and ability to prioritize compound-leverage work over busywork; comfortable saying no and scoping down to ship the right 70%
- • Comfort with AI/LLM-augmented engineering, including experience with agentic workflows, MCP servers, or LLM-powered tooling
- • Velocity and ownership: ability to ship autonomously, take initiative on unsassigned problems, and thrive in environments with evolving operating models
- • Cross-functional empathy: ability to collaborate with marketers, designers, and PMs to understand unspoken needs and translate them into technical solutions
