📋 Description

• • Architect and deliver resilient, high-quality code that secures the digital ecosystem for 3,000+ global customers, directly influencing how enterprises, governments, and NGOs mitigate cyber risk.
• • Own loosely defined features end-to-end—from technical design and architecture through production release—within a continuous-delivery environment that ships multiple times per day.
• • Collaborate in a small, cross-functional Agile squad of engineers, product managers, and designers to conceive, build, and evolve core infrastructure powering Bitsight’s cyber-risk analytics platform.
• • Optimize and scale REST APIs that ingest and serve petabyte-scale security telemetry, ensuring sub-second response times for real-time risk scoring and third-party assessments.
• • Leverage deep Python expertise to extend and modernize backend services, employing frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask while enforcing clean code, testability, and observability standards.
• • Design and tune distributed data pipelines using Hadoop, Spark, and related big-data technologies to transform raw security signals into actionable insights consumed by Fortune 500 clients.
• • Champion best practices in CI/CD by enhancing GitLab CI, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes workflows, cutting build times and increasing deployment confidence across all environments.
• • Contribute to the evolution of cloud-native architecture on AWS—designing for security, cost-efficiency, and high availability across multiple regions and accounts.
• • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through pair programming, design reviews, and brown-bag sessions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• • Partner with Product Management to translate complex cyber-risk requirements into elegant technical solutions, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term platform vision.
• • Investigate and resolve high-impact production incidents, performing root-cause analysis and implementing preventive measures that strengthen overall system resilience.
• • Drive data-model improvements in both relational and non-relational stores (PostgreSQL, Apache HBase, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch) to support new product capabilities and exponential data growth.
• • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry standards, running proof-of-concepts that keep Bitsight at the forefront of cyber-risk innovation.
• • Uphold Bitsight’s commitment to security and privacy by embedding secure-coding practices, threat-modeling, and compliance checks into every stage of the SDLC.
• • Embrace a growth mindset—seek feedback, share knowledge, and actively participate in internal guilds and external open-source communities to elevate the entire engineering organization.
