📋 Description
- • As a Senior Software Engineer in Test at Cloudera, you will own and deliver maintenance releases for Cloudera’s data platforms, ship hotfixes to customers, and contribute to the Apache Software Foundation community while working with Hadoop and big data technologies.
- • Day to day, you will drive maintenance releases by performing system test analysis, delivering backports, developing new patches, debugging system-level deployment issues, conducting root cause analysis, resolving failures, and working with Java and Python on test frameworks and automation tools.
- • You will join Cloudera’s Engineering team, a global leader in enterprise data platforms powered by open source innovation, serving top companies across industries with data management scale comparable to hyperscalers.
- • In this role, you will gain deep technical knowledge of Hadoop components across the Cloudera stack, improve internal infrastructure, and develop expertise in distributed systems, test automation, and enterprise-scale data platforms.
🎯 Requirements
- • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- • 3+ years of development experience in Java or Python
- • Development experience in Linux environments
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
