📋 Description

• As a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure at AcuityMD, you will be a critical enabler of the company’s mission to accelerate access to medical technologies by designing, building, and operating the foundational platform services that power all applications end-to-end. Your work will directly impact reliability, security, and developer velocity, ensuring that MedTech innovations reach physicians faster and more safely.
• You will steward core platform services including container orchestration, service mesh, ingress, and secrets management at scale, while collaborating across Product, Engineering, Data, and Security teams to deliver both internal and external value through hardened reliability, automated systems, and optimized cost-performance balance.
• The Platform Team serves as the backbone of AcuityMD’s engineering organization, enabling product teams to ship quickly and safely by providing cloud capabilities, security infrastructure, and a seamless developer experience that reduces cognitive load and accelerates time-to-first-deploy.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern infrastructure practices, including Kubernetes, observability (metrics, logs, traces), infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD evolution, while contributing to strategic initiatives that scale the platform for high-growth demands and improve system reliability through automation and incident response.
• You will participate in a sustainable on-call rotation, drive blameless post-mortems, eliminate toil, and reduce MTTR by building self-healing systems and actionable alerts, all while enabling fast, safe delivery through evolved CI/CD pipelines and environment strategies (dev/stage/prod).
• You will build internal tooling, templates, and golden paths that standardize best practices and reduce friction for product teams, directly improving developer productivity and satisfaction across the organization.
• By optimizing cluster utilization, autoscaling, and storage/networking configurations, you will ensure cost-effective scaling without compromising performance or reliability, aligning infrastructure spend with business growth objectives.
• Your contributions will support AcuityMD’s strategic evolution from startup to high-growth SaaS company, helping the platform handle increasing data volumes, user traffic, and compliance demands while maintaining high availability and security posture.
• You will work in a collaborative, high-ownership environment where clear communication, documentation, and pragmatic problem-solving are valued, and where your ability to enable others is as important as your technical contributions.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on infrastructure, DevOps, and/or platform engineering
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, specifically Kubernetes
• Understanding of observability: metrics, logs, traces, and building actionable alerts/SLOs
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools
• Some programming experience in at least one modern programming language
• Awareness of security fundamentals: IAM, workload identity, network policies, encryption, and secrets management
