• • As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Messaging team, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end lifecycle of high-throughput, event-driven systems. You will be tasked with designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant backend services specifically for email and in-app notifications, ensuring they are robust and reliable. A significant part of your role will involve building and evolving asynchronous, event-driven pipelines capable of processing vast volumes of product and user events efficiently. You will also be responsible for creating high-quality technical designs and writing clean, maintainable, and self-documenting production code that adheres to the highest standards. Ensuring the correctness, idempotency, deduplication, and delivery guarantees across all notification flows will be paramount to maintaining user trust and system integrity. Furthermore, you will continuously optimize the performance, latency, and scalability of these systems, particularly under peak load conditions, to guarantee unwavering reliability. Taking long-term ownership of features and subsystems, including their ongoing production health and future evolution, will be a key aspect of your contribution.
