• • As a Senior Software Engineer on the Infra team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the core infrastructure that powers Zip's innovative platform. Your primary focus will be on Ent and TAO, Zip's proprietary database access layer, which is inspired by Facebook's Ent and TAO architectures. You will also contribute to the underlying database systems that support these layers. This role involves close collaboration with product engineering teams to conceptualize and implement new features for Ent and TAO, ensuring they effectively meet the evolving use cases of our diverse product offerings. A key aspect of your work will be to enhance the scalability, reliability, and performance of our database infrastructure, directly supporting the company's ambitious growth trajectory and global expansion plans.
• • You will be instrumental in evolving Zip’s data access layer, specifically focusing on sharded and distributed database architectures. This work is crucial for supporting Zip’s aggressive global expansion initiatives and ensuring seamless performance across all regions.
