📋 Description

• • Architect and deliver the data backbone for Fortune 500 companies. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise-grade platform features—from whiteboard architecture sessions with C-suite stakeholders to the final green-light deployment in air-gapped, zero-trust data centers where a single misconfiguration can halt global operations.
• • Lead customer implementations that redefine how organizations operate. You’ll translate complex, often ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical solutions, guiding cross-functional teams through security reviews, compliance audits, and performance benchmarks while maintaining 99.9 % uptime guarantees.
• • Design and evolve Shakudo’s multi-tenant Kubernetes platform. You’ll decide when to adopt new CNCF projects, craft Helm charts that abstract away infrastructure complexity, and build Terraform modules that provision entire environments in minutes—then defend those choices to security architects who demand proof of every open-source component.
• • Build advanced DevOps automation that turns weeks of manual provisioning into one-click deployments. Your pipelines will orchestrate secrets management, policy enforcement, and rollback strategies across hybrid clouds, on-prem clusters, and fully offline networks—ensuring that a hedge fund’s quant models or a hospital’s diagnostic AI never go dark.
• • Mentor and level-up junior engineers through pair programming, architecture reviews, and on-call shadowing. You’ll establish coding standards that balance velocity with rigor, run blameless post-mortems that turn outages into shared learning, and champion a culture where shipping fast never means shipping fragile.
• • Collaborate directly with customer technical teams—from data scientists who need GPU autoscaling to CISOs who require SBOMs for every container image. You’ll present roadmaps, negotiate scope, and occasionally jump on a 2 a.m. bridge call to troubleshoot a memory leak that’s blocking a billion-dollar model retrain.
• • Influence product and technical strategy at the company level. Your field insights will shape the next quarter’s roadmap, your prototypes will become core platform features, and your post-deployment metrics will determine how we price, package, and position Shakudo in the enterprise market.
• • Champion quality and reliability across the stack. You’ll define SLIs/SLOs that align with customer business objectives, implement chaos engineering drills that simulate network partitions, and create runbooks so clear that any engineer can recover a cluster—even if they’ve never seen the codebase before.
• • Stay half a step behind the bleeding edge. Evaluate new tools like WebAssembly sidecars, confidential-computing runtimes, or policy-as-code frameworks; run proof-of-concepts in our internal lab; then distill findings into pragmatic recommendations that keep the platform secure, performant, and future-proof.
• • Own the feedback loop between customer pain and product innovation. After every deployment, you’ll analyze usage telemetry, interview power users, and feed actionable insights back into engineering—ensuring that the next release not only fixes today’s edge cases but anticipates tomorrow’s scale.
