📋 Description

• As a Senior Software Engineer (Rails & Rust) at Skydropx, you will lead the technical design and development of high-impact services that power the company’s logistics software products, driving innovation in a mission-critical domain.
• Day to day, you will design and implement performance-critical components in Rust, develop features in Ruby on Rails, conduct rigorous code reviews, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, define technical standards, and collaborate with product and architecture teams to shape the engineering roadmap.
• Skydropx is a dynamic, ambitious, and multicultural team innovating logistics across Latin America, where AI augments human decision-making by handling repetitive tasks while engineers focus on high-responsibility, judgment-driven work.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in distributed systems, polyglot engineering (Ruby/Rust), and technical leadership, while gaining influence over architectural decisions and contributing to open-source-worthy engineering practices that scale across regions.

🎯 Requirements

• B2 or higher English proficiency
• 6+ years of software design and development experience with Ruby on Rails
• Professional experience with Rust in production environments
• Solid experience with JavaScript and modern frontend ecosystems
• Proven experience designing and building microservices and APIs
• Deep knowledge of software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle (coding standards, code reviews, version control, CI/CD, testing, operations)
• Practical experience designing and deploying large-scale distributed systems and high-availability client-server architectures
• Demonstrated ability to lead technically, mentor engineers, and communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
