- • Senior Software Engineer, Smart TV at Roku, Inc. in Hsinchu, Taiwan – a key role supporting Roku’s New Products Team on the Roku TV program, contributing to the world’s leading TV streaming platform that powers one in every three smart TVs sold in North America.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include core engineering tasks such as partner SOC board bring-up, third-party API integration, Roku OS feature development, code maintenance, designing scalable solutions for onboarding new factories, and supporting QA and Channel certification teams throughout end-to-end product development and release cycles.
- • Roku is the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with a mission to connect the entire TV ecosystem by enabling consumers to access beloved content, helping publishers monetize audiences, and giving advertisers unique engagement tools. 🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of relevant software development experience
- • Excellent C/C++ coding skills, with modern C++ expertise strongly preferred
- • Experience developing and debugging on Linux-based embedded platforms
- • Solid understanding of Linux kernel concepts, multi-threading primitives, Linux tools, libraries, and open source development
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment with excellent communication skills
