• • As a Senior Solution Architect specializing in Data at CDW, you will be at the forefront of delivering transformative technology solutions, playing a pivotal role within our dynamic Digital Velocity team. This field-based, pre-sales position is instrumental in shaping and executing cutting-edge data strategies that directly address our customers' most pressing business challenges and align with their strategic objectives.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate intimately with internal sales teams, delivery specialists, and directly with clients to meticulously define, architect, and position best-in-class technology solutions. This involves a deep dive into customer needs, translating complex requirements into robust, scalable, and efficient data architectures.
• • A core focus of this role is the design and development of customer solutions leveraging the comprehensive Microsoft Azure data stack. This includes, but is not limited to, expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, and a broad spectrum of related data services and tools. You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest advancements and best practices within this ecosystem.
• • You will actively engage in customer-facing activities, including detailed discovery sessions, technical workshops, and strategic whiteboarding discussions. The goal is to gain a profound understanding of their business drivers, operational workflows, and specific technical requirements, enabling you to architect solutions that deliver tangible business value.
• • A significant part of your role will involve contributing to and leading the creation of critical project documentation. This includes developing detailed solution architectures, crafting compelling proposals, providing accurate service estimates, and authoring comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs) that clearly define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
• • You are expected to maintain an expert-level, up-to-date knowledge of the entire Microsoft Azure Data portfolio. This continuous learning is crucial for advising clients on the most effective and innovative solutions available.
• • To support CDW's strategic partnership with Microsoft and ensure we remain at the cutting edge, you will be responsible for achieving and maintaining relevant technical certifications within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• • Beyond client engagements, you will contribute to the growth and development of the Digital Velocity practice by supporting strategic initiatives, participating in internal enablement sessions, and actively sharing knowledge and best practices with your colleagues.
• • You will serve as a technical mentor and guide to junior team members, fostering their development and ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence. Collaboration with Consulting Solution Architects on large-scale, complex engagements will also be a key aspect of your role.
