• • As a Senior Solution Architect at Mattermost, you will be at the forefront of delivering secure, high-impact collaboration solutions to some of the world's most critical organizations within the Defense and Public Sector markets across EMEA and APAC. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your deep technical expertise and architectural vision to shape how government agencies, intelligence services, and critical infrastructure providers communicate and collaborate securely, ensuring operational continuity and mission success.
• • You will assume end-to-end technical ownership of Mattermost-based solutions, acting as the primary technical advisor and architect for our key customers and strategic partners within Germany and selected Northern European markets, including the Nordics, Baltics, and Netherlands. Your remit will span highly sensitive environments, demanding a rigorous understanding of security protocols, compliance frameworks, and the unique operational challenges faced by these sectors.
• • Your role will involve leading and facilitating comprehensive requirements and architecture workshops. You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, from IT and security teams to enterprise architects, business unit leaders, and executive leadership. The ability to elicit, understand, and document complex needs, translating operational goals, intricate threat models, and stringent regulatory constraints into robust, scalable, and secure solution architectures is paramount.
• • A core responsibility will be the design of end-to-end Mattermost architectures tailored for high-security environments. This includes both on-premises deployments and sovereign cloud solutions, ensuring that the platform integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructure while adhering to the strictest security and data residency requirements. You will be adept at navigating the complexities of air-gapped systems, classified networks, and environments with limited internet connectivity.
• • You will be instrumental in defining and implementing integration strategies for Mattermost with a variety of enterprise systems, including identity and access management (IAM) solutions like Active Directory and LDAP, security information and event management (SIEM) tools, and other critical business applications. This requires a strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and common integration patterns.
• • Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing key technology and system integrator partnerships. This involves collaborating closely with partners to co-develop and deliver solutions, ensuring that Mattermost is effectively positioned and implemented within their offerings and customer engagements.
• • Your technical leadership will extend to providing hands-on technical delivery support, guiding implementation teams, and troubleshooting complex issues that may arise during the deployment and operational phases of Mattermost solutions.
• • You will be responsible for conducting technical assessments, performing security reviews, and ensuring that all deployed solutions meet or exceed industry best practices and customer-specific security mandates. This includes understanding and advising on hardening techniques, encryption standards, and auditing capabilities.
• • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in collaboration technology, cybersecurity trends, and relevant government regulations within the defense and public sector is crucial. You will leverage this knowledge to continuously improve our solution offerings and provide strategic guidance to both Mattermost and its customers.
