📋 Description

• Design and document scalable, secure, and long-term stable system architectures for a virtual ABA therapy platform used by clinicians and families nationwide.
• Lead technical decision-making across product and engineering teams to ensure systems align with business goals and user trust requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud-based tools and technologies, with deep expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure, to meet evolving platform scaling needs.
• Create clear architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation that translate complex technical systems into actionable plans for cross-functional teams.
• Champion simplicity and reliability in system design, ensuring architectures avoid technical debt and remain maintainable as the platform grows.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers and influencing product roadmaps with architecture-first thinking.
• Ensure all systems meet high standards of trust, accountability, and performance, directly impacting the confidence families and clinicians place in the platform.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate clinical and user needs into technical requirements that drive resilient system design.
• Proactively identify potential scalability bottlenecks and design preemptive solutions to prevent future system failures.
• Advocate for serverless frameworks and event-driven architectures to optimize cost, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain alignment with compliance and security best practices in healthcare-adjacent digital platforms.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including clinicians, customer support, and executive leadership.
• Drive adoption of standardized architectural patterns across services to ensure consistency, observability, and ease of onboarding.
• Measure and monitor system performance post-deployment to validate architectural decisions and iterate based on real-world usage.
• Balance innovation with stability, prioritizing long-term system health over short-term feature velocity.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of solutions architecture experience
• Proven record of designing scalable, long-standing systems
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with serverless frameworks
• Communication skills to make complex ideas clear
• A focus on trust, simplicity, and long-term stability in execution

• $130,500 - $152,250 annual salary
