- • As a Senior Solutions Architect on Astronomer’s Delivery Architecture team, you serve as the senior technical lead for customer engagements, guiding engineering leaders and executives in designing and deploying data orchestration platforms on Astro to unlock AI value and power data-driven applications.
- • You will lead architecture reviews and workshops, design end-to-end platform integrations of Airflow with cloud infrastructure and data platforms, review delivery work for scalability and security, diagnose and resolve complex deployment issues, and build reusable frameworks and best practices that elevate delivery quality across the organization.
- • Astronomer empowers over 800 global enterprises to harness data through Astro, the unified DataOps platform powered by Apache Airflow®, enabling reliable data products that accelerate insights and AI innovation at scale.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise data platform architecture, influence technical strategy with Fortune 500 clients, and drive impact by shaping reusable solutions that improve delivery efficiency and customer success across Astronomer’s Professional Services team.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or solution architecture
- • Airflow expertise including authoring and deploying DAGs to production, monitoring execution, and troubleshooting failures
- • Experience tuning Airflow performance, refactoring DAG code, right-sizing infrastructure, and implementing data quality checks and alerts
- • Proven track record guiding customers through platform deployments, migrations, or technical transformations while managing scope, timelines, and stakeholder conflicts
- • Strong background in designing cloud-native data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with familiarity in enterprise networking, security, and identity patterns
- • Programming experience in Python and SQL
- • Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Kubernetes
- • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, BigQuery, or Redshift
- • Track record leading architecture discussions and driving technical decisions with engineering leaders and executive stakeholders
- • Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready architectures
