- • As a Senior Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions at Remote Technologies Inc., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the compliant and seamless management of employee exits for our external workforce across a multitude of international jurisdictions. This position is critical to extending our clients’ HR capabilities, providing expert guidance, and maintaining the highest standards of legal compliance and customer service in over 80 countries.
- • You will independently manage the entire lifecycle of employee terminations, from voluntary resignations to involuntary separations, with a strong emphasis on legal accuracy, sensitivity, and delivering an exceptional offboarding experience. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating complex situations and ensuring that all processes adhere to local employment laws and best practices.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve providing first-level Employee Relations support. This includes advising clients on workplace concerns, guiding them through progressive discipline procedures, and coordinating the appropriate internal and external resources to resolve issues effectively and fairly.
- • You will be an integral part of the broader Employee Lifecycle team, contributing to the continuous improvement of our HR processes and initiatives. Your insights and drive for innovation will help shape the future of work at Remote, aligning with our strategic goals and core values.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to process optimization, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities for automation and championing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- • You will be responsible for drafting, tailoring, and administering all termination and supplementary documentation with meticulous accuracy, ensuring that all employee records are maintained with the strictest adherence to privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- • Processing offboarding activities within Remote's internal HRIS platform will be a key responsibility, requiring close collaboration with various internal teams, including Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance, to guarantee that all aspects of an employee's exit are handled correctly and promptly.
- • You will serve as a trusted colleague and an informal escalation point, leveraging your expertise, judgment, and mentoring abilities to guide and support more junior team members.
- • Providing comprehensive guidance on Remote's Employee Relations resources will be essential, assisting clients in navigating challenging workplace scenarios with confidence and clarity.
- • Conducting thorough preliminary assessments of workplace concerns will be part of your daily routine, involving the identification of key facts, applicable local regulations, and potential resolution pathways.
- • You will act as a subject-matter expert, proactively addressing internal and external queries related to offboarding and first-level employee relations matters, in collaboration with Lifecycle's internal stakeholders.
- • Your role will involve influencing and negotiating positive outcomes in complex termination scenarios, skillfully directing multiple stakeholders with potentially competing interests through intricate and sometimes lengthy processes.
- • You will liaise with and coordinate a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including payroll departments, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions, to ensure full compliance during offboarding activities and audits.
- • The position requires the ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, conduct research, translate findings into practical resources, and communicate actionable solutions, particularly when operating in ambiguous environments.
- • You will be expected to develop methods, procedures, and standards for new assignments, exercising sound judgment in selecting appropriate techniques and evaluation criteria to achieve desired results, always considering the broader needs of the Lifecycle team and Remote as a whole.
- • Embracing innovation and optimizing processes is a core expectation, as you will continually identify opportunities for automation and champion best practices to enhance the overall employee and customer experience throughout the offboarding and employee relations processes.
- • This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, asynchronous, and international remote environment, demonstrating strong operational efficiency, a commitment to data integrity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously and cohesively.
- • You will be empowered to take ownership and be proactive, defaulting to action rather than waiting for direction, and will be encouraged to prioritize work-life balance, fitting work around personal needs and family.
- • As part of a company that values diversity and inclusion, you will contribute to fostering a sense of belonging for all employees, supporting our Employee Resource Groups and ensuring accommodations are available as needed.
- • You will be encouraged to bring your unique talents, experiences, and culture to the table, helping to build a best-in-class HR platform and define the future of work.
- • The role offers the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world, with flexible working hours and paid time off, contributing to a truly global and asynchronous work culture.
- • You will be a key player in Remote's mission to empower organizations worldwide to employ anyone, anywhere, compliantly, making a significant impact on the global employment landscape.
