- • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic defense and government accounts in South Korea, driving revenue growth through end-to-end sales cycles for Shield AI’s V-BAT, X-BAT, Hivemind Enterprise, and Hivemind Vision product lines.
- • Develop and execute tailored account strategies aligned with South Korea’s defense procurement timelines, regulations, and stakeholder ecosystems to secure long-term contracts with military and government entities.
- • Collaborate with technical teams to translate complex autonomous system capabilities into compelling value propositions that address the operational needs of South Korean defense forces and allied agencies.
- • Lead the capture process for major defense opportunities, including requirement analysis, proposal development, competitive positioning, and customer presentations to senior defense decision-makers.
- • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of National Defense, Armed Forces, defense contractors, and procurement agencies.
- • Navigate and comply with South Korea’s defense acquisition regulations, export control policies, and international defense trade frameworks to ensure all sales activities are legally and ethically executed.
- • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align market feedback with product roadmaps and ensure customer requirements are integrated into future offerings.
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, forecast pipeline with precision, and report progress against quarterly and annual sales targets for the South Korea region.
- • Represent Shield AI at defense expos, industry forums, and government-sponsored events in South Korea to increase brand visibility and generate qualified leads.
- • Stay current on evolving defense technology trends, geopolitical developments, and regional security priorities in the Asia-Pacific to proactively identify new business opportunities.
- • Lead negotiations for contract terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreements with government buyers, ensuring alignment with Shield AI’s commercial and compliance standards.
- • Manage and mentor junior BD team members in South Korea, sharing best practices in defense sales, account planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- • Coordinate with Shield AI’s global sales and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of international defense contracts and compliance with U.S. and Korean export control laws.
- • Travel domestically within South Korea and occasionally internationally to meet with clients, attend defense exhibitions, and support field demonstrations of Shield AI’s autonomous systems.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols when handling classified or sensitive defense-related information in accordance with company and government policies.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven track record of winning and expanding strategic defense or government accounts in South Korea
- • Deep understanding of South Korea’s defense acquisition process and procurement regulations
- • Technical credibility to engage with defense engineers and operators on autonomous systems and AI-enabled platforms
- • Experience navigating U.S. and international export control laws (e.g., ITAR, EAR) in defense sales
