- • Own the end-to-end architecture, administration, maintenance, and availability of all cloud infrastructure and supporting tools across AWS and Azure environments.
- • Provide thought leadership in designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable cloud solutions that deliver high-impact business value and enhance customer experience.
- • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native systems with a focus on automation, orchestration, and efficiency across multiple engineering teams.
- • Define, develop, and drive adoption of cloud engineering best practices, including Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, designers, and business partners to align technical strategy with business goals and product requirements.
- • Conduct technical due diligence and architectural assessments of third-party technologies and solutions to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- • Perform impact analysis to anticipate and mitigate risks associated with changes across interconnected applications and systems.
- • Experiment with emerging technologies, validate assumptions against business needs, and recommend data-driven solutions to improve engineering practices.
- • Develop and document standards, best practices, and engineering artifacts to enable consistent, reproducible, and maintainable cloud systems across the organization.
- • Debug critical production incidents and implement effective, sustainable solutions to ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability.
- • Conduct routine audits of cloud accounts to ensure compliance with security policies, configuration guidelines, and industry standards.
- • Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date cloud library of all documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- • Mentor senior engineering team members and participate in talent selection to build a high-performing cloud engineering function.
- • Lead the development of organization-wide architectural practices and ensure alignment across partner engineering groups.
- • Integrate LLM gateway/proxy technologies (e.g., LiteLLM, Portkey, AWS Bedrock Gateway) to manage model routing, rate limiting, and token usage attribution in multi-tenant cloud environments.
- • Implement policy-as-code frameworks (e.g., OPA, Cedar) to enforce access control and automated compliance in production cloud environments.
- • Apply agentic orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain and understand the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for securing agent tool interfaces.
- • Right-size cloud infrastructure based on cost-performance trade-offs, ensuring optimal resource utilization and financial accountability.
- • Develop automation scripts in scripting or programming languages to enable self-service capabilities for software engineers.
- • Utilize observability and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK, PagerDuty) to monitor system health and drive proactive incident response.
- • Gain deep expertise in the business process domain to better align technology solutions with strategic business outcomes.
- • Drive continuous improvement in cloud technology by staying current with industry shifts and anticipating future customer and market needs.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 10 years of experience designing scalable Cloud/Hybrid environments with a strong background in AWS and Azure
- • Experience developing and managing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub
- • Experience in a lead role overseeing technical direction for multiple Cloud/Platform/Development/DevOps/SRE teams
- • Extensive experience building and driving adoption of Cloud engineering best practices
- • Hands-on experience with LLM integration patterns and at least one LLM gateway or proxy product (LiteLLM, Portkey, AWS Bedrock Gateway, or equivalent), including model routing, rate limiting, and token usage attribution in a multi-tenant cloud environment
- • Experience with policy-as-code frameworks (OPA, Cedar, or equivalent) in production cloud environments, particularly for access control and automated compliance enforcement

- • Competitive base salary range of $161,000 – $237,000, with potential premium for residents of major metropolitan areas (San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, San Diego)
- • Remote work flexibility with optional in-office presence at the Southfield, Michigan location
