- • As a Senior Staff Engineer on Reddit's Ads team, you will serve as the technical owner for the advertiser growth domain, shaping how Reddit monetizes its platform and connects brands with communities through innovative, scalable solutions.
- • You will lead cross-functional efforts to architect, build, and evolve core ads products including the ads manager, business hub, API, and off-platform experiences, while mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence across teams.
- • The Reddit Ads team is a high-performing, fast-growing unit focused on building 0→1 products to diversify revenue streams, working closely with Product, Design, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing to support advertisers of all sizes—from SMBs to agencies.
- • In this role, you will define the 2+ year technical roadmap, solve complex problems for diverse customer segments, and grow your impact as a technical leader who balances hands-on execution with strategic influence, all while advancing your expertise in Ads industry trends and best practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of leading large-scale technical projects requiring cross-team and cross-functional collaboration
- • Expertise in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Scala, Java, or C++) and ability to grow expertise in Python and Go
- • Demonstrated ability to disambiguate complex problems, align stakeholders with different priorities, and aggressively prioritize to execute effectively
- • Excellent communication skills to drive consensus, navigate disagreements, and influence decisions across the engineering organization
- • A bias for action: ability to identify what needs to be done, take initiative without waiting for direction, and see initiatives through to completion
