Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager strategy for a portfolio of high-traffic, multi-brand websites serving millions of users every month. You will architect, implement, and continuously evolve a unified tagging and data-collection framework that powers product, marketing, and executive decision-making across the organization.
  • • Standardize and scale tagging and data-layer design across dozens of web properties, microsites, and mobile apps. You will author living documentation, reusable templates, and governance playbooks that enable product squads to ship new features without breaking analytics or compromising data quality.
  • • Lead the migration from legacy client-side tracking to a modern, privacy-first, server-side tagging architecture. You will evaluate container performance, reduce page-weight impact, and ensure compliance with GDPR/CCPA while preserving attribution accuracy and marketing-channel visibility.
  • • Champion data quality and governance. You will build automated validation suites (unit tests, regression tests, anomaly alerts) that surface tagging drift, missing events, or schema mismatches within minutes of deployment. Your dashboards will become the single source of truth for campaign ROI, funnel health, and product KPIs.
  • • Provide expert-level technical estimates and solution design for every analytics ask—from a simple CTA click event to a multi-step e-commerce funnel spanning three brands and five locales. You will translate fuzzy business questions into precise measurement plans and defend scope, effort, and trade-offs to stakeholders at every level.
  • • Drive the product analytics roadmap in partnership with PMs, engineers, and data scientists. You will prioritize instrumentation backlogs, negotiate sprint capacity, and ensure that every release ships with bullet-proof tracking before it reaches production.
  • • Debug and resolve complex data-accuracy issues across dev, staging, and production environments. You will use Chrome DevTools, Charles Proxy, server logs, and BigQuery exports to uncover race conditions, duplicate hits, or rogue third-party scripts—and then patch them permanently.
  • • Implement GA4, GA360, and GTM on green-field and brown-field projects alike, following Google’s latest best practices for naming conventions, custom dimensions, user-ID stitching, and consent-mode integration. Your code reviews will set the bar for the entire engineering org.
  • • Manage user access, certification renewals, and admin governance for GA, GTM, and Looker Studio. You will design role-based permissions that satisfy InfoSec audits while empowering marketers and analysts to self-serve insights without exposing PII.
  • • Collaborate with external GA-certified vendors and agencies to raise, track, and validate bug tickets. You will own the vendor scorecard, negotiate SLAs, and ensure that every external deliverable meets internal quality standards before sign-off.
  • • Mentor junior analysts and engineers through brown-bag sessions, pair programming, and formal code reviews. You will create a culture where data instrumentation is treated as a first-class engineering concern, not an afterthought.
  • • Continuously scan the horizon for emerging analytics technologies—server-side GTM, Enhanced Conversions, Customer Match, consent-management APIs—and run controlled pilots that de-risk future rollouts.
  • • Present monthly analytics health reports to senior leadership, translating technical metrics into business impact: revenue attribution, CAC improvements, funnel drop-off reductions, and privacy-compliance posture.
  • • Influence cross-functional OKRs by proving—through rigorous A/B testing and incrementality studies—that better data leads to faster iteration, smarter spend, and happier customers.
