- • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and secure corporate network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN) across multiple global offices and regions.
- • Build the foundations of Airwallex’s new corporate network and help design the team structure and size for future global expansion.
- • Design and deploy multi-region hybrid network patterns that bridge physical offices, data centers, and multi-cloud environments (AWS/Alibaba Cloud) at massive scale.
- • Configure on-prem gateway/router/networking hardware globally, including mixed vendors such as Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Aruba.
- • Manage global connectivity via international leased lines and domestic internet connections across all corporate locations.
- • Lead the configuration, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
- • Own CorpNet as the primary escalation point for critical network incidents, driving resolution and producing after-action reports.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CorpSec, ProdSec, Engineering, Product, IT Engineering, and Workplace to integrate network solutions and support business initiatives.
- • Work with IT Engineering and IT Support to troubleshoot endpoint network issues and build core networking knowledge across the support team.
- • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- • Evaluate and recommend emerging networking technologies to align with Airwallex’s rapid business growth and global footprint.
- • Mentor, coach, and develop junior and mid-level network engineers; manage underperformers and actively attract top talent to the team.
- • Participate in a global on-call rotation using a follow-the-sun model to provide 24/7 coverage for corporate network issues.
- • Perform network upgrades and maintenance during off-hours or weekends to minimize business disruption, requiring flexible scheduling.
- • Implement infrastructure-as-code automation using Terraform and Ansible to standardize and scale network deployments globally.
- • Optimize routing protocols to ensure low-latency performance for financial systems operating across international regions.
- • Ensure network compliance with security standards and integrate with identity and access management systems including SAML, OAuth, and SSO.
- • Support corporate IT operations by understanding and troubleshooting endpoint connectivity issues related to MDM systems (Kandji, JAMF, Intune) and wireless technologies (Juniper Mist, Cisco Meraki, Aruba).
🎯 Requirements
- • Senior-level experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining Juniper and Palo Alto Networks vendor solutions
- • Demonstrated experience in a multi/mixed networking vendor environment (Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba, etc.) in a global company
- • Experience with networking solutions for mainland China and international connectivity
- • Expert understanding of command-line configuration of networking hardware and vendors (JunOS, IOS, etc.)
- • Strong fundamental understanding of WiFi technology and endpoint engineering – hardware knowledge a plus
- • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience
