- • Own the full lifecycle of enterprise customer engagements for EffectiveAI’s platform, from initial demos to post-sale expansion, tailoring solutions for large insurance carriers with complex, unique workflows.
- • Design and execute customized product demos that win deals by deeply understanding customer workflows and evaluation criteria—avoiding generic feature tours and building targeted, executable demonstrations.
- • Write detailed engineer briefs that are specific enough for engineers to begin development immediately, translating complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- • Embed with customers post-sale to observe their internal processes, map their vendor ecosystem, and translate real-world usage into product roadmap priorities and feature enhancements.
- • Configure and customize the platform for each customer while simultaneously ensuring their customizations remain compatible with ongoing improvements to the shared industry model.
- • Own critical enterprise product requirements including authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), approval workflows, and data governance—bridging the gap between domain experts and engineering teams.
- • Design interfaces and experiences for expert users such as actuaries, underwriters, and product leaders—not engineers—making complex regulatory filings, rate structures, and competitive positioning intuitive and actionable.
- • Manage multiple concurrent enterprise engagements with varying timelines, stakeholders, and technical complexities, ensuring no initiative drops or delays.
- • Collaborate directly with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and domain specialists to synthesize insurance regulations, product specs, market patterns, and legacy software behavior into governed, executable models.
- • Leverage AI coding tools daily (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude) to prototype, build, and iterate on product concepts, using them as core components of your workflow—not as future aspirations.
- • Rapidly absorb complex domains and gain customer trust within weeks, operating with high agency and no reliance on pre-existing playbooks.
- • Translate industry-specific logic from insurance manuals, filings, and standards into typed, testable, and executable systems using program synthesis techniques like RSL.
- • Work in a hybrid model in San Francisco, collaborating in-person with engineering, sales, and customer success teams while maintaining direct customer-facing responsibilities.
- • Contribute to building Contextbase, EffectiveAI’s living model of the insurance domain, which evolves as shared industry knowledge improves and customers specialize it for their own use.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of product management experience in enterprise software with heavy per-customer customization
- • Hands-on, daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude for prototyping and building
- • Deep enterprise customer-facing experience, including running demos for technical buyers and managing post-sale relationships in complex environments
- • Strong technical depth in auth, APIs, data pipelines, and system architecture—able to write engineer briefs that are actionable without further clarification
- • Experience working with expert users in regulated industries (e.g., insurance, finance, healthcare), not consumer-facing products
- • Ability to rapidly learn and operationalize complex domains with high agency and minimal supervision
