- • Directive Consulting is a premier B2B performance marketing agency renowned for delivering tangible revenue growth, not just leads. We leverage our proprietary Customer Generation methodology to cut through the marketing noise, focusing on driving pipeline, fueling Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), and scaling ambitious brands. Our expertise spans Paid Media, SEO, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), Revenue Operations (RevOps), and Go-To-Market Strategy, building robust marketing engines that achieve success in the SaaS sector and across diverse B2B industries.
- • We foster a culture of rapid progress, bold thinking, and elite performance. We seek individuals who challenge the status quo, push campaign boundaries beyond expectations, and ignite demand for innovative brands. If you are driven by performance, thrive on solving complex challenges, and desire your work to have a meaningful impact, you will find a welcoming and stimulating environment here. We are not just delivering results; we are actively shaping the future of marketing and invite you to build something groundbreaking with us.
- • This SEO Strategist role is a pivotal, client-facing position responsible for the day-to-day management of client deliverables, the creation and ongoing refinement of bespoke client strategies, and seamless communication with both clients and internal teams. You will be entrusted with managing more complex, Enterprise-level clients, requiring a profound understanding of their specific service lines and how these integrate with broader business objectives to formulate comprehensive marketing strategies.
- • Internally, this position is recognized as an Account Strategist, Content & SEO, highlighting its dual focus on strategic client management and specialized SEO/content expertise.
- • What You'll Do:
- • **Strategic Excellence and Best Practices:** Spearhead the development and implementation of custom client strategies, ensuring alignment with best practices and the achievement of Net Sales Metrics (NSMs). Your strategic approach will be informed by project phases, overarching client marketing objectives, current campaigns, historical performance data, and Directive's established best practices. You will collaborate closely with your Associate Director (AsD) to navigate and resolve any strategic roadblocks impacting goal attainment.
- • **Creative Briefs and Content Ideation:** Demonstrate a strong aptitude for crafting insightful creative briefs and developing compelling content campaigns. This involves leveraging competitor analysis and audience insights to drive innovative content ideation.
- • **Adherence to Directive Methodologies:** Integrate key Directive methodologies into your strategies to position clients for success and exceed their goals. This includes applying principles of Lifetime Value (LTV) to Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) modeling, implementing the Customer Generation framework, optimizing for Share of SERP, and overseeing effective Content Production processes.
- • **Data-Driven Goal Setting:** Utilize a range of data sources, including Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush, and Ahrefs, to establish ambitious yet achievable client goals for their engagement periods. All proposed goals will undergo review and approval by your Associate Director (AsD) prior to presentation to the client, often in joint meetings.
- • **Meticulous Project Management:** Ensure the successful execution of strategic plans by meticulously managing projects. This involves clearly defining task ownership for both the Directive team (including Specialists) and client stakeholders, utilizing Asana as the required project management tool. You will be responsible for delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion to maintain momentum towards client objectives.
- • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** In pods with dedicated Project Managers, you will partner closely to ensure all tasks are created, assigned, and tracked with clear due dates, with consistent communication to the client. You will also work hand-in-hand with content writers and designers to ensure content campaigns are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards expected by our clients.
- • **Client and Internal Communication:** Serve as the primary liaison between clients and the Directive team, cultivating strong, human-centric relationships that extend beyond deliverables. Your goal is to be the most trusted consultant for your clients' businesses. Proactively communicate timeline expectations, progress towards goals, and leverage shared channels like Slack for continuous engagement between bi-weekly meetings. Deliverables should be shared on a regular cadence, not solely during scheduled meetings.
- • **Proactive Leadership Updates:** Provide regular updates to internal leadership, highlighting any roadblocks, identifying opportunities for account growth, and communicating significant changes within client accounts. This includes strategic adjustments, shifts in client marketing initiatives, changes in client points of contact, and other relevant developments.
- • **Comprehensive Reporting:** Regularly report on the progress and impact of client strategies through bi-weekly client meetings (focusing on NSM progress and ongoing deliverables), monthly reports, quarterly reports, and two bi-annual business review presentations.
- • **Driving Client Growth:** Actively identify and pursue opportunities for clients to expand their business with Directive, whether through adopting new service lines (e.g., SEO, Paid Media) or increasing investment within current service lines. Cultivate a habit of seeking referrals from satisfied clients at opportune moments, such as when a client's point of contact moves to a new role or after achieving a 5 CSAT score.
