📋 Description
- • As a Senior Staff Software Engineer in Ad Tech at PatientPoint, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building a unified platform that powers digital health solutions impacting millions of patient interactions in physician offices nationwide. Your work will directly contribute to improving health outcomes by enabling behavior-changing content delivery at critical moments of care, aligning with PatientPoint’s mission as the Point of Change company.
- • You will architect, design, develop, and maintain complex software systems and APIs hosted in AWS, spanning multiple technology domains including Python 3, React, Google Ad Manager, Elasticsearch, and infrastructure-as-code. Your responsibilities include ensuring system stability, performance, and scalability while leading technical design efforts and applying software engineering best practices across the platform.
- • Day-to-day, you will identify cross-cutting concerns across service boundaries and implement reusable solutions, lead story breakups and grooming sessions, facilitate architecture/design discussions, and drive improvements in code quality through increased unit test coverage and rigorous PR reviews. You will also mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and oversee team contributions to foster growth and excellence.
- • You will spend approximately 70% of your time on hands-on development and 20% on team leadership activities including planning, retrospectives, and standups in a SCRUM environment, balancing deep technical work with collaborative team enablement.
- • You will improve estimation accuracy, reduce project risk, and enhance development schedules by applying disciplined engineering practices and driving accountability across the team.

🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in back-end software engineering developing enterprise applications
- • Expert-level knowledge of Python 3
- • 8+ years of experience creating cloud-based architecture and infrastructure-as-code
- • 5+ years with Google Ad Manager or Doubleclick for Publishers Tags
- • Proficiency in observability, monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., New Relic, Sentry)
- • Experience with containerization/orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
