📋 Description

• Build and evolve CI/CD systems and build tooling (e.g., Bazel, Buck, GitHub Actions, Buildkite, CircleCI) to improve engineering velocity, reliability, and deployment frequency.
• Design and implement agentic workflows including MCP servers, autonomous AI agents, and AI-assisted tooling that embed generative AI into the software development lifecycle.
• Own the end-to-end developer experience—from local development and testing to deployment and observability—treating internal engineers as customers and eliminating friction in workflows.
• Drive technical excellence in platform architecture and tooling decisions to enhance developer ergonomics, feedback loops, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate, adopt, and guide organization-wide adoption of AI-powered development tools to deliver measurable productivity gains across engineering teams.
• Develop internal developer platforms and infrastructure that serve as the foundation for all engineering work at Abridge, ensuring scalability and reliability as the company grows.
• Integrate AI agents into daily engineering workflows to automate repetitive tasks, improve code quality, and accelerate testing and deployment cycles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI scientists, product engineers, and clinical teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with healthcare compliance and product goals.
• Maintain and improve infrastructure in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar) using containerization, Kubernetes, and modern tooling such as ArgoCD, Istio, and Atmos.
• Champion best practices in secure, auditable, and compliant software delivery within a regulated healthcare environment.
• Stay current on emerging AI tooling and agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph) and lead their responsible integration into the engineering org.
• Document systems, onboard new engineers, and create internal knowledge bases to ensure sustainable, scalable developer practices.
• Work a minimum of three days per week (MWF) in Abridge’s San Francisco office as part of a hybrid model.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience building and evolving CI/CD systems and build tooling (e.g., Bazel, Buck, GitHub Actions, Buildkite, CircleCI)
• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks, MCP servers, LLM tooling, or AI-assisted development workflows
• Experience improving developer experience across local development, CI/CD pipelines, internal tooling, and developer workflows
• Familiarity with production systems in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar)
• Experience with containerized environments, Kubernetes, and modern infrastructure tooling (e.g., ArgoCD, Istio, Atmos)
• Strong track record of leveraging AI tools and workflows to materially improve engineering velocity and operational efficiency
