📋 Description
- • Lead the design and evolution of Kaseya’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform to serve authentication, authorization, governance, and compliance needs across multiple products and business domains.
- • Define the technical architecture and strategic direction for the IAM platform, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise-grade standards.
- • Design and implement core IAM services including authentication, authorization, identity governance, and delegated administration capabilities.
- • Build and operate secure, high-availability APIs and integrations that support customers, employees, partners, machine identities, and third-party systems.
- • Drive adoption and migration of the IAM platform across engineering teams, ensuring consistent implementation and reducing technical debt in identity-related systems.
- • Develop solutions for role-based access control (RBAC), attribute-based access control (ABAC), and multi-tenant environments to meet diverse customer and internal use cases.
- • Collaborate closely with Security, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure the IAM platform meets regulatory requirements including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
- • Lead architecture reviews and technical design discussions for all identity-related initiatives across the engineering organization.
- • Mentor senior and junior engineers, establish engineering standards, and promote best practices in identity platform development and security.
- • Integrate with enterprise identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace, and Active Directory to enable seamless single sign-on and identity federation.
- • Implement and maintain support for OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, JWTs, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) protocols across the platform.
- • Support machine identities, secrets management, and workload authentication to secure automated systems and infrastructure.
- • Contribute to large-scale platform modernization and migration initiatives to transition legacy systems to the centralized IAM platform.
- • Evaluate and integrate enterprise IAM solutions such as Zitadel, Keycloak, Authentik, Auth0, and Ping Identity to enhance platform capabilities.
- • Apply policy engines like Open Policy Agent (OPA) or Cedar to enable fine-grained, dynamic authorization decisions within the platform.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems or platform services
- • Experience designing and implementing IAM, authentication, authorization, or identity governance solutions
- • Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, JWTs, MFA, and enterprise SSO
- • Experience implementing or integrating enterprise IAM platforms (e.g., Zitadel, Keycloak, Authentik, Okta, Auth0, Ping Identity)
- • Experience designing secure, scalable services in cloud-based or SaaS environments
