📋 Description

• As a Senior Staff Software Engineer in Product Security at Cloudera, you will serve as a go-to technical expert bridging Security, Product, and Engineering teams to translate complex security requirements into automated, scalable solutions.
• You will architect, design, develop, and maintain advanced build tooling to accelerate vulnerability remediation, lead proof-of-concepts for security initiatives, and drive security feature development including FIPS, TLS/Encryption, secrets rotation, IAM, and certificate management.
• You will collaborate across teams to triage security-related stability issues, mentor junior engineers, author design documents, and influence cross-functional stakeholders to meet long-term security and compliance objectives.
• Cloudera’s Product Security group ensures platforms are secure by design and compliant with rigorous industry and government standards, supporting digital transformation for global enterprises using open-source innovation.
• You will have the opportunity to deepen expertise in cloud-native security, automation, and compliance while shaping the security posture of platforms used by top companies worldwide.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, with 15+ years of relevant experience
• Deep technical expertise in containerized environments, specifically Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker
• Strong proficiency in general-purpose programming and scripting languages: Python, Go, Java, and Bash
• Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Helm
• Experience automating CI/CD processes using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to root cause site outages or P1 escalations
