- • Senior Strategic Finance Manager, Mobility Payments role at WEX Inc. focuses on owning financial decision-making for mobility payments portfolios, balancing revenue growth with credit-risk appetite and capital efficiency.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading end-to-end modeling of unit economics (interchange, rewards, credit losses, cost of funds), building cohort-level profitability views, evaluating decisions through LTV and contribution margin lenses, and partnering with Risk to translate utilization curves and delinquency behavior into financial forecasts.
- • The role involves owning financial evaluation of partner and network economics (revenue-share structures, network fees, partner profitability), advising Commercial teams on value-accretive partnerships, and establishing economic guardrails for partner strategy.
- • The position offers the opportunity to lead pricing and portfolio optimization, integrate behavioral analytics into pricing decisions, develop Product/Segment P&Ls, and partner with Treasury on working capital strategy and funding needs.
- • The individual will champion adoption of AI and automation tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Python/SQL), set economic modeling standards, and elevate Finance’s role as a strategic partner to Product, Risk, and Commercial teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12-15+ years of experience in payments, cards, fintech, or network-based financial services
- • Deep hands-on experience with interchange economics, credit losses and funding mechanics, and portfolio-level unit economics
- • Background in strategic finance, product finance, or payments-focused FP&A
- • Proven ability to influence senior leaders across Product, Risk, and Commercial
- • Core programming fluency with analytics and automation tools (SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau) and comfort in data-intensive, AI-augmented finance environments
- • Issuer, network, or closed-loop ecosystem experience; SMB portfolio exposure; experience with co-brand or partner portfolios
