Senior System Engineer

📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Hostinger’s global hosting platform, serving 3 million customers in 150 countries. You will architect, deploy, and continuously improve the systems that power millions of e-shops, blogs, and talent-showcasing websites, ensuring 99.9 %+ uptime and lightning-fast performance.
• • Design, develop, and implement new product features that directly impact customer success—from auto-scaling web clusters to zero-downtime database migrations—using modern IaC stacks (Terraform, Ansible) and cloud-native services on Google Cloud Platform.
• • Deploy and run a multi-region, multi-tenant infrastructure at scale. Automate every repeatable task, codify every configuration, and build self-healing systems that recover gracefully under load spikes, hardware failures, or network partitions.
• • Operate and observe: build dashboards, SLOs, and alerting rules that surface symptoms before they become outages. Use Prometheus, Grafana, and custom exporters to measure availability, latency, throughput, error rates, and capacity in real time.
• • Constantly evolve and refine systems by identifying performance bottlenecks, eliminating single points of failure, and rolling out incremental improvements with blue-green or canary releases. Your changes will shave milliseconds off page load times and save terabytes of egress cost.
• • Champion reliability engineering across the company. Provide hands-on guidance to software, network, and junior system engineers on best practices for designing, deploying, and maintaining highly reliable services—from code review to incident retrospectives.
• • Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation with a healthy, blameless culture. When alerts fire, you debug under pressure, coordinate cross-functional war rooms, and turn incidents into actionable post-mortems that prevent recurrence.
• • Contribute to open-source projects and internal libraries that the broader tech community can benefit from. Share your findings at Hostinger’s Tech, Data, and Leadership Guilds and represent the company at global conferences.
• • Mentor and up-skill teammates through pair programming, brown-bag sessions, and structured guild meetings. Help shape the next generation of top-level talent while deepening your own expertise in Linux internals, distributed systems, and cloud architecture.
• • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business goals into technical roadmaps. Your input will directly influence which features ship next and how they scale to serve millions of concurrent users.
• • Work in a hybrid model—split your week between Hostinger’s brand-new Cyber City office in Vilnius and the energetic Kaunas hub, or enjoy up to six months of fully remote work from any location on Earth.
