  • • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in developing and sustaining NVIDIA's BaseOS, a critical Linux distribution powering our GPU-based platforms across AI, Data-Analytics, and Autonomous Vehicle sectors.
  • • You will be responsible for crafting and refining Ubuntu and RHEL-based OS image flavors, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance on NVIDIA's advanced hardware.
  • • A key aspect of your work will involve the ongoing support and enhancement of existing NVIDIA DGX and HGX systems, maintaining their high standards of reliability and efficiency.
  • • Collaborate intimately with System and Software development teams to architect and implement a robust common infrastructure for automation, leveraging the latest industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • • Engage closely with Hardware and Firmware development teams throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial power-on to successful OS boot, ensuring smooth bring-up of new NVIDIA platforms.
  • • This role demands a deep understanding of operating system concepts, including filesystems, job scheduling, device drivers, and storage management, to effectively debug and optimize complex system behaviors.
  • • You will tackle intricate system-level debugging challenges, spanning areas like X/Wayland, systemd, analyzing crash dumps, and resolving installation issues, ensuring the stability and integrity of our OS.
  • • Contribute to the development of automation frameworks and tools that streamline the OS image creation and deployment processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing time-to-market for new products.
  • • Participate in the evaluation and integration of new technologies and open-source components to enhance the capabilities and performance of the BaseOS.
  • • Document technical designs, processes, and solutions, ensuring knowledge transfer and maintainability within the team.
