đź“‹ Description

  • • Join Twilio as a Senior Technical Consultant specializing in Zuora Billings, a critical role within our Enterprise Application Development and Operations team. You will be instrumental in designing, configuring, developing, and testing Zuora billing solutions to meet the complex requirements of our Finance, Quote-to-Cash (O2C), Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), Revenue, Collections, and Accounting departments.
  • • This position demands a proactive, self-starting individual with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, diligent time management, a collaborative spirit, and an unwavering work ethic. You will be expected to lead design workshops with business stakeholders, build system prototypes for demonstrations prior to development, and mentor junior consultants, all while thriving under pressure to meet tight and overlapping deadlines.
  • • You will leverage your deep expertise in Zuora SaaS Billing, including its intricacies with Usage and Subscriptions, product and pricing configurations, cash application, and revenue recognition processes. A key aspect of this role involves understanding and managing Twilio’s entire Order-to-Revenue (O2R) landscape in close partnership with Global Accounting and Billing teams, driving automation and innovation across these critical functions.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of Zuora implementation and management. This includes leading end-to-end architecture design and complex product catalog configurations within Zuora Billing. You will define charge models, manage subscription lifecycle processes, and architect scalable O2C/OTR solutions that align seamlessly with business and finance objectives.
  • • You will be responsible for driving advanced Zuora configurations. This involves developing custom workflows for automation, integrations, and robust error handling. You will also manage mediation and data transformation pipelines, implement advanced billing rules, configure custom rating logic, set up multi-entity and multi-currency global environments, create custom reports and data sources, and optimize billing performance for efficiency and scalability.
  • • A significant part of this role involves designing, building, and supporting robust integrations between Zuora and various enterprise systems. This includes critical platforms such as Oracle ERP, tax engines (e.g., Avalara), payment gateways, CRM systems, and data platforms. You will utilize API-based integrations, middleware flows, and develop automated reconciliation processes with strong audit control mechanisms.
  • • You will own post-go-live production support, managing incidents (including P1/P2 escalations), conducting thorough root cause analysis, overseeing change and release management, ensuring operational stability, and providing critical support for financial close and compliance processes.
  • • As a leader, you will guide full lifecycle implementations from initial requirements gathering through to hypercare. You will provide essential governance and technical leadership, mentor and develop team members, ensure comprehensive documentation and effective knowledge transfer, and represent the Zuora architecture in executive-level and cross-functional design forums.
  • • You will develop and execute comprehensive system conversion and implementation strategies, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • • You will lead cross-functional requirement sessions, expertly eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business needs and translating them into functional specifications. This includes identifying unspoken or conflicting requirements and proactively challenging the status quo to find optimal solutions.
  • • You will manage Key Lifecycle Operations (KLO) and provide essential stakeholder support for daily activities, financial close processes, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • • This role is a remote position within the US, offering flexibility while requiring occasional travel for project or team meetings to foster connection and collaboration.
  • • Twilio is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive remote-first work environment. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds and experiences to apply, as we value the unique perspectives and skills that each individual brings to our team. Your career growth and impact are in your hands at Twilio.
