📋 Description
- • Senior Technical Lead role focused on building a strategic backend platform service for content lifecycle management at multi-tenant scale, supporting private markets digitization through technology-driven efficiency and transparency.
- • Own end-to-end backend architecture including event-driven systems, Postgres at scale, durable eventing, and API design; lead technical direction for a high-impact platform from green-field through multi-phase rollout.
- • Join Juniper Square, a values-driven company digitizing private markets (commercial real estate, private equity, venture capital) with hybrid work options across global offices in the US, Canada, India, Luxembourg, and England.
- • Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 engineers, drive technical excellence through design/code reviews, raise engineering standards, and develop junior engineers into senior contributors while owning production health via SLOs, runbooks, and incident postmortems.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of backend engineering, 5+ years in Python (or strong polyglot — Python/Java)
- • Production experience with async Python (FastAPI / asyncio) at scale
- • Strong API design — REST/gRPC, versioning, schema evolution, backward compatibility
- • Deep PostgreSQL expertise — partitioning, complex queries, replication, performance tuning
- • AWS deep — ECS/EKS, S3, SNS/SQS, Aurora, IAM, IaC
- • Experience leading project-level technical direction for 12+ months with measurable outcomes
- • Track record of grooming and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers to ownership of design and delivery
