Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Define the long-term vision and roadmap for Reddit’s Ads ML Platform, ensuring adoption of cutting-edge technologies including Generative AI and LLM workflows to maintain a competitive edge in ad targeting and ranking.
- • Build products and tooling that reduce friction for Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists, enabling faster training, deployment, and iteration of machine learning models across Reddit’s advertising ecosystem.
- • Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Ads Product teams to understand technical constraints, prioritize platform initiatives, and align infrastructure development with business outcomes.
- • Own and drive key performance indicators related to platform reliability, latency, cost-efficiency, GPU utilization, and developer productivity metrics.
- • Conduct regular user research with ML engineers in Ranking, Creative Effectiveness, and Content Understanding teams to identify pain points such as slow backfills, limited training speed, and lack of feature sharing across models, then translate these into precise product requirements.
- • Stay current with the broader machine learning ecosystem by reading research papers, evaluating emerging architectures, and determining practical applications for Reddit’s Ads ML infrastructure.
- • Distill complex technical challenges—including GPU scheduling, latency budgets, and model-serving bottlenecks—into actionable, prioritized product roadmaps that balance engineering feasibility with business impact.
- • Establish unified model-serving infrastructure to streamline deployment and improve consistency across advertising models.
- • Integrate generative AI capabilities to enhance developer productivity, such as automating prompt iteration, fine-tuning workflows, and RAG-based feature generation.
- • Ensure platform scalability and performance to support 100,000+ active communities and 126 million daily active users while maintaining low-latency ad ranking and targeting systems.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experienced product manager with prior focus on internal technical products, developer tools, data/ML platforms, and/or ads and content ranking.
- • Deeply analytical and highly technical background; comfortable working in complex data systems and understanding the entire machine learning lifecycle (training, inference, deployment, monitoring).
- • Genuine passion for machine learning and AI; actively stay at the forefront of ML by reading research papers and tracking industry trends, architectures, and capabilities.
- • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to translate highly technical constraints (e.g., GPU scheduling, latency budgets) into actionable product roadmaps.
- • Strong communication skills to seamlessly translate technical requirements to business stakeholders and articulate business goals to engineering teams.
🏖️ Benefits
- • 100% remote opportunity with optional access to office locations in NY, SF, LA, and Chicago.
- • Competitive salary and equity options in the form of restricted stock units.
- • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus home office setup stipend.
