- • Own the end-to-end product roadmap for Vultr’s GPU Orchestration platform, including managed Kubernetes, managed Slurm, SUNK, and Run:ai integrations for AI and HPC workloads.
- • Define and deliver the complete cluster lifecycle: provisioning, configuration, upgrades, scaling, high availability, and decommissioning of GPU-accelerated clusters.
- • Design and implement scheduling and resource management capabilities for GPU workloads, including quotas, fair-share policies, multi-tenant isolation, and priority-based job handling.
- • Drive deep integrations between GPU orchestration services and core infrastructure components: networking, storage, identity, observability, and billing systems.
- • Establish and monitor service-level objectives for control plane reliability, job scheduling latency, cluster availability, and upgrade stability.
- • Design and deliver intuitive APIs, CLI tooling, and UI workflows that enable developers and operators to manage clusters and workloads independently.
- • Partner with customer-facing teams to gather insights on real-world AI/ML training, inference, and HPC use cases, translating operational needs into product features.
- • Monitor and incorporate industry trends in container orchestration, HPC scheduling, distributed systems, and AI infrastructure to shape product direction.
- • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Compute, Networking, and Platform engineering teams to ensure technical alignment and execution of the GPU orchestration strategy.
- • Translate complex technical requirements into clear product specifications and roadmaps for engineering, design, marketing, and sales stakeholders.
- • Measure and improve adoption, reliability, and operational efficiency of GPU orchestration products through data-driven iteration and customer feedback.
- • Serve as the primary product advocate for GPU orchestration internally and externally, representing the platform to customers, partners, and industry audiences.
- • Maintain deep technical fluency in Kubernetes, Slurm, and related systems to effectively engage with engineering teams on architecture, scalability, and reliability challenges.
- • Balance strategic vision with tactical execution, prioritizing features that deliver maximum impact on developer experience and infrastructure efficiency.
- • Ensure product decisions align with Vultr’s mission to make high-performance cloud infrastructure easy to use, affordable, and locally accessible.
- • Work remotely across U.S. time zones, coordinating with global engineering, support, and customer success teams.
- • Contribute to Vultr’s culture of innovation, ownership, and operational excellence within a fast-growing, privately-held cloud infrastructure company.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of product management experience in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, HPC, or developer platforms
- • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Slurm, or similar orchestration and scheduling systems, including GPU scheduling, resource management, and multi-tenant isolation
- • Experience defining product strategy and roadmaps for platform or infrastructure products at scale
- • Strong technical background — ability to engage with engineering on cluster lifecycle, control plane reliability, API design, and distributed systems
- • Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, including training workloads, inference serving, and GPU resource optimization
- • Track record of shipping developer- and operator-facing products with measurable impact on reliability, adoption, or operational efficiency
