- • As a Senior Technical Project Manager - Growth at Kraken, you will drive the delivery of mission-critical onboarding and compliance systems that power the global adoption of cryptocurrency, ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable experiences for millions of users worldwide.
- • You will own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for Kraken’s Onboarding Platform, bridging engineering, compliance, product, and external vendors to deliver AI-powered workflows, custom integrations, and automated systems that reduce manual overhead and accelerate time-to-market.

- • You will deepen your expertise in Atlassian API/MCP scripting, n8n workflow orchestration, AI-assisted process automation, and regulated FinTech integrations while shaping the technical foundation of one of the world’s most respected cryptocurrency exchanges.
- • What the person will do day to day:
- • Drive end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional projects spanning customer onboarding, identity verification, KYC/AML workflows, and compliance tooling, ensuring alignment with roadmap commitments and regulatory timelines.
- • Build and maintain custom automations, integrations, and reporting pipelines using the Atlassian REST API and/or MCP, going beyond native Jira automation to create scalable, repeatable engineering-grade solutions.
- • Design and deploy multi-system workflow automations connecting Jira, Confluence, and third-party tools; lead n8n workflow development where applicable to orchestrate data flows, approvals, and notifications across systems.
- • Coordinate technical integration of third-party KYC, sanctions screening, and identity providers; own timelines, SLAs, and integration quality while acting as the primary technical liaison between engineering and vendor teams.
- • Maintain ongoing capacity planning visibility by modeling sprint and quarterly team bandwidth against roadmap commitments, surfacing resourcing constraints proactively to inform trade-off decisions.
- • Design and deploy AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual overhead across compliance operations, onboarding review, and engineering coordination — leveraging LLMs or rule-based logic to triage, classify, or enrich data streams.
- • Build and manage project plans, roadmaps, dashboards, and release timelines with clear dependency mapping and risk tracking, using tools like Jira, Confluence, and custom reporting to ensure transparency across stakeholders.
- • Align stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Compliance, Legal, Security, and executive leadership — tailoring communication depth and tone to each audience, from technical deep dives to executive summaries.
- • Facilitate standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and planning sessions with a bias toward systemic improvement, fostering a culture of continuous learning and process refinement.
- • Partner with external vendors to define requirements, validate compliance adherence, and hold them to technical and SLA standards, ensuring integrations meet Kraken’s security and operational benchmarks.

🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of Technical Project Management experience in fast-paced, cross-functional software organizations.
- • Development background — prior experience as a software or data engineer; ability to read PRs, understand system design, and communicate business impact and risk based on development timeline changes.
- • Atlassian API or MCP scripting — demonstrated experience using the Atlassian REST API or MCP to build automations, custom integrations, or data pipelines beyond native Jira automation rules.
- • Scripting proficiency — Python, JS, bash, or similar; you write the script yourself, not just the ticket requesting it.
- • AI and process automation — hands-on experience designing or deploying AI-assisted workflows or LLM-integrated tooling in a professional context.
- • Capacity planning — proven ability to model team capacity, track velocity, and translate bandwidth constraints into clear roadmap trade-offs.
