- • Partner with technical leadership to deeply understand hiring needs and provide strategic guidance on recruiting best practices for engineering and technical roles
- • Own the full-cycle recruitment process from pipeline development to offer closure for technical talent across multiple disciplines
- • Build and nurture a proactive pipeline of passive and active technical candidates to support both immediate hiring demands and long-term growth
- • Advise hiring managers on market trends, competitive compensation benchmarks, and effective talent acquisition strategies specific to high-growth tech environments
- • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline recruiting workflows, reduce time-to-hire, and increase candidate experience quality
- • Maintain rigorous data integrity and system hygiene within the Applicant Tracking System (Ashby), ensuring accurate reporting and recruitment analytics
- • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives targeting top-tier technical talent, including engineers, data scientists, and software developers from leading startups and tech companies
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and people operations teams to align hiring goals with company-wide priorities and culture
- • Mentor and elevate the performance of other recruiting team members through hands-on guidance, best practice sharing, and performance feedback
- • Stay current with evolving trends in technology, startup ecosystems, and talent mobility patterns to identify emerging sources of high-caliber candidates
- • Utilize data and metrics to evaluate sourcing channels, interview effectiveness, and offer acceptance rates, adjusting strategies to optimize outcomes
- • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by balancing candidate expectations with organizational needs and offering candid insights into market realities
- • Ensure a consistent, equitable, and candidate-centric experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle while maintaining Harvey’s employer brand
- • Proactively identify gaps in technical team composition and recommend proactive hiring strategies to support scaling and innovation
- • Manage candidate communication with clarity, timeliness, and professionalism, ensuring transparency at every stage of the process
- • Represent Harvey in technical hiring communities, at industry events, and through targeted outreach to establish the company as an employer of choice in AI and legal tech
- • Maintain deep familiarity with technical roles including software engineering, machine learning, data engineering, and DevOps to assess candidate fit beyond resumes
- • Uphold Harvey’s values of ownership, intensity, and excellence by taking accountability for the quality and speed of every hire
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company
- • Proven track record of building technical teams from scratch or at scale in startups or scaling tech firms
- • Demonstrated ability to advise hiring managers on compensation, market dynamics, and talent acquisition strategy
- • Proficiency in managing Applicant Tracking Systems (Ashby preferred) with strong data hygiene practices
- • Strong network and experience sourcing passive technical talent across engineering disciplines
- • Low ego, proactive attitude, and willingness to mentor teammates while executing hands-on recruitment tasks
