- • Own end-to-end recruitment for Harvey’s security organization, covering application security, infrastructure security, detection and response, governance, risk, compliance (GRC), and security leadership roles.
- • Build and manage high-quality talent pipelines from scratch for security roles, leveraging targeted outreach, community engagement, and presence at industry events such as Black Hat, DEF CON, and BSides.
- • Partner directly with security leadership to understand team structure, technical requirements, and the nuanced skills that distinguish top security candidates.
- • Develop and refine security-specific sourcing strategies tailored to the unique dynamics of the security talent market, including passive candidate engagement and employer branding.
- • Advise hiring managers on security talent market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitive positioning against other high-growth AI and tech companies.
- • Design and implement structured, rigorous, and candidate-respecting interview processes specific to security roles.
- • Maintain accurate data integrity in Ashby and use pipeline metrics to identify bottlenecks, optimize hiring velocity, and drive data-informed decisions.
- • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for the broader recruiting team on security hiring, sharing market intelligence and helping calibrate on candidate profiles.
- • Act as the first fully dedicated security recruiter at Harvey, establishing foundational processes, playbooks, and relationships that will scale with the company.
- • Source candidates independently, manage full-cycle recruitment without a pre-existing playbook, and operate with high ownership in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
- • Stay current with the evolving security landscape, understand what motivates top security professionals, and speak credibly to candidates about Harvey’s mission and technical challenges.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a seamless, respectful candidate experience while maintaining alignment with Harvey’s high-performance culture.
- • Use data and metrics to drive recruitment strategy, not merely report on outcomes, and continuously improve hiring efficiency through iterative process refinement.
- • Represent Harvey as a trusted partner to security hiring managers, building long-term relationships grounded in transparency, expertise, and shared goals.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 3–4 years focused on security roles (AppSec, infrastructure security, detection and response, GRC, or security engineering)
- • Deep familiarity with the security talent market, including key communities, conferences, career paths, and what motivates security candidates
- • Proven track record of closing security hires at a fast-growing tech or AI company
- • Strong ability to build trusted partnerships with technical hiring managers and act as a strategic advisor to security leadership
- • Comfort working in ambiguity and building recruitment processes from scratch
- • Fluency in data and metrics, using pipeline health to drive decisions
