đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Senior UX Researcher at Clay Labs Inc., you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of AI-powered workflows, playing a pivotal role within the Product team. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as a key research partner, collaborating extensively across the entire product organization. You will delve deep into understanding how users interact with Clay's most sophisticated features, encompassing data enrichment, automation, and the rapidly evolving landscape of AI capabilities.
  • • This role is a dynamic blend of foundational research, agile iteration, and strategic influence. You will work hand-in-hand with designers, product managers, engineers, and go-to-market teams, transforming user insights into tangible product actions and strategic decisions. Your work will directly impact the usability, effectiveness, and adoption of Clay's innovative platform.
  • • You will be instrumental in exploring critical questions such as how users perceive and engage with AI agents within their daily workflows, and how Clay can design experiences that foster trust and deliver demonstrable value. This involves understanding the diverse mental models different user segments hold regarding data enrichment, automation, and the expanding suite of Clay's features.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve making cutting-edge capabilities, such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP), intuitive and highly valuable for both technical and non-technical users. You will also investigate the specific needs of enterprise customers as they aim to scale their operations with Clay, ensuring the platform meets their complex requirements.
  • • Your responsibilities will include leading mixed-methods research initiatives. This means designing and executing a variety of studies, utilizing qualitative methods like in-depth interviews and usability testing, alongside quantitative approaches such as surveys and the analysis of behavioral data, all aimed at answering crucial product-related questions.
  • • You will be a vital partner to cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success. Your role will involve identifying research needs, translating complex findings into actionable insights, and ensuring these insights inform product development and strategy.
  • • You will drive strategic initiatives by owning the research agenda for key product areas. This includes AI/agents, enterprise-focused features, and emerging technologies, thereby directly influencing the product roadmap and strategic direction.
  • • A core aspect of your work will be understanding and advocating for a diverse user base. You will study a wide range of personas, from sales representatives and growth marketers to technical architects, operating within both Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) and enterprise environments.
  • • You will hone your skills in managing complex stakeholder relationships. This involves navigating competing priorities, aligning diverse teams around research findings, and communicating your insights effectively to a broad spectrum of audiences, from individual contributors to senior leadership.
  • • You will contribute to building and scaling research infrastructure. This includes developing robust systems for participant recruitment, efficient insight sharing mechanisms, and comprehensive knowledge management to ensure research findings are accessible and impactful.
  • • Ultimately, you will be a strong advocate for the user, ensuring their needs, pain points, and aspirations are consistently represented and considered in all product decisions, thereby championing a user-centric approach throughout the organization.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a rapidly growing, well-funded company that is a leader in AI-powered growth tools, with a strong community and a distinctive culture that values creativity and unconventional thinking. You will be part of a team that is making a significant impact on how businesses achieve growth.
