- • As a UX Researcher at TIAA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital experiences by deeply understanding user needs and translating them into actionable insights. This contingent worker position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading financial services organization, working on projects that enhance the usability, usefulness, and desirability of our web and mobile applications.
- • You will be instrumental in guiding design strategy and product development by employing a diverse range of qualitative research methodologies. This includes conducting moderated and un-moderated usability testing, performing benchmarking studies, facilitating card sorting exercises, carrying out in-depth interviews, and designing and deploying comprehensive surveys.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, product managers, marketing specialists, data analysts, and front-end developers. This collaborative approach ensures that design decisions are data-backed and aligned with user needs, fostering a user-centric development process.
- • A key aspect of this role involves evaluating, learning, and evangelizing new research methods and tools to your colleagues, contributing to the continuous improvement and growth of the UX team's capabilities and best practices.
- • You will operate within a highly dynamic environment, demonstrating the ability to navigate ambiguity, tackle complex problems, and clearly define and passionately advocate for customer needs throughout the product lifecycle.
- • Your analytical skills will be crucial in reviewing, analyzing, and producing key highlights and detailed reports from user testing sessions, surveys, competitive research, Voice-of-Customer (VOC) data, and website analytics.
- • You will be responsible for writing, launching, and analyzing surveys and remote, un-moderated user testing initiatives to gather critical user feedback.
- • A significant part of your work will involve reviewing, indexing, analyzing, and reorganizing existing user research to build a comprehensive knowledge base and identify trends or gaps.
- • You will also be tasked with reviewing, selecting, and presenting representative video clips from recorded user sessions to effectively communicate user experiences and pain points to stakeholders.
- • The role demands excellent storytelling capabilities and strong communication skills to effectively present research findings, insights, and recommendations to diverse audiences, influencing product roadmaps and design decisions.
- • You will contribute to understanding the complete customer journey, identifying potential gaps and opportunities within each user experience, and helping to build and develop the UX team's knowledge and skill set.
- • This position requires a proactive approach to identifying user pain points and advocating for solutions that improve the overall user experience across TIAA's digital platforms.
- • You will be expected to contribute to the strategic direction of UX research within the organization, ensuring that user insights are integrated at every stage of the product development process.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX research, with 7+ years preferred.
- • Proficiency with user research tools such as UserTesting.com and Qualtrics.
- • Experience with design and prototyping tools like Figma.
- • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word) for reporting and presentations.
- • Experience conducting a variety of qualitative research methods (usability testing, interviews, surveys, card sorting) and recommending appropriate methods for different project needs.
